I have loved you all my life; it has just taken me this long to find you.

Our Story

Debbie and John first met by happenstance at the July 2017 American Cheese Society competition at the Denver Convention Center. At that time, both were entangled in different lives, yet they didn’t realize they lived just a few blocks away from each other. Over the years, their paths would often cross, they shared common acquaintances and coincidences but the timing simply wasn’t right. They kept in touch with a casual annual holiday text or a brief check in for an update on family, career and mutual interests. It wasn’t until many years later, as fate would have it, that the timing would be just right.

They nurtured a friendship while they each found their own footing in new circumstances and supported each other as the friendship strengthened. John went off to visit the family in New Zealand for the annual holiday pilgrimage. During this time they messaged daily, sharing stories and getting to know each other further.

In the year to come, they started dating, traveling and even introduced the families. They both began thinking that this may really be “it”. John invited Debbie and Jack (during his mom’s time) to live with him. She (and Jack) happily accepted and they began their life together.

So the question was popped both ways, and now we’re planning a wedding. How wonderful!

Counting the minutes for the big day!
